Snø Galleri was founded by editor and curator Algae Wang. It is located at Uranienborgveien 7A, near Oslo’s Royal Palace Park.

The gallery aims to build lasting, two-way cultural connections between the Nordic region and East Asia. Its programme focuses on art shaped by ideas, cultural contexts and lived experience. We are especially interested in how artists explore personal experience, identity, migration, history, memory and time, and how their work reflects wider questions about human life and society.

Snø Galleri presents around seven to eight exhibitions each year. Each exhibition is based on independent research and planning. Alongside the exhibitions, we also plan to develop publications, documentary films and other related projects that allow us to continue exploring the artists and their work.

Beyond its exhibition programme in Oslo, Snø Galleri works closely with the artists we represent and collaborate with. We present their work through solo and group exhibitions and at international art fairs across East Asia. At the same time, we introduce East Asian art to Nordic audiences, encouraging lasting and meaningful cultural exchange between the two regions.
